The material of the pipes plays an important role in the detection method. For metal pipes, electromagnetic location (EML) is used, while for plastic pipes, ground penetrating radar is used or a tendon is installed for electromagnetic location (EML). When these methods are not sufficient, we apply gyroscopy to check the pipe.
