water jet for controlled
drilling: accurate detection and control
Land surveying is an essential part of TerraCarta’s services. Everything we locate, such as cables and pipes, is accurately surveyed and recorded. In addition to underground infrastructure, we also measure above-ground objects, such as appurtenances, trees, containers, fences, inspection pits, lampposts and street gullies. Using advanced land surveying techniques, we digitally map everything within the project area, providing a complete overview of both the underground and above-ground situation.

Detection of cables
and pipes
To accurately determine the location of cables and pipelines in the subsurface, TerraCarta uses advanced detection techniques. Although a directional drilling or sinker can often be located reasonably well with standard detection surveys, the exact location sometimes remains a source of uncertainty. TerraCarta has developed a solution for this within our mapping procedure. This system provides additional control by using existing drawings, test trenches, and special methods such as prodding or the use of a spray lance.
Innovative
water jet technology
TerraCarta has developed an advanced spray lance system to control the exact location of directional drilling to great depths. This system works on the basis of water pressure, spraying water forcefully into the soil. This makes it possible to investigate and locate boreholes up to 25 meters deep. Thanks to this technology, directional drilling can be checked smoothly and with great accuracy, even at considerable depths. The spray lance provides a reliable and efficient method of eliminating uncertainties about the location of boreholes, which is essential for a safe and successful project.
